• Still wet behind the ears

10km is a long way to swim. But spread it over 12 weeks and it becomes possible for even the slowest swimmer. If your local pool is a standard 25m in length, that means a total of 400 lengths or around 33 lengths per week. That’s a sizeable challenge – but if you can do it, you will be fit as a flea, toned and supremely self-satisfied! Download our programme for 10kAnyWay swim challenge below. If it’s too much to do alone, split the distance with others – and reap the benefits of team-work! Get more information on kit and other top tips for beginners here. Swimming with a disability? If you are a regular swimmer, 10k in 12 weeks may not be much of a problem for you. However, there is still room for a challenge…click below for some ideas.

  • Try a tri

Love your swimming but want to try a new challenge that incorporates 10k as well as your treasured swim? How about doing a 400m swim followed by a 10k cycle then a 2.5k run? That’s a super-sprint triathlon. Or even a 1500m swim followed by a 40km bike ride then a 10k run. That’s a standard triathlon. Either of those are serious challenges that will win you a 10kAnyWay gold medal straight off. Click below for more information.
